Schroders (SDR.L)’s Japan Insight Days Returns to Tokyo

We were thrilled to bring back our Japan Insight Days earlier this month in our Tokyo office. During the week-long event, we hosted 11 undergrad and graduate students to experience what it’s like to be a buy-side investment professional. They heard from Schroders (SDR.L) career development and investment professionals about our Japan business and Schroders (SDR.L) Academy, and took part in interactive workshops and projects to hone their investing skills.

The participants had a diverse range of experience and backgrounds, hailing from seven different universities, including a doctorate candidate in solar engineering; a sumo enthusiast; and the president of the Stock Investment Club at The University of Tokyo.

Sonia Yu, Head of Investment Professional Development and Schroders (SDR.L) LaunchPoint for Asia Pacific was the primary mentor, teaching and working with the group on their projects. We also had analysts and portfolio managers across our investment teams teach sessions throughout the week.
